Hey fans...!!! how's life...?, recently my social media group make a fuss about animation movie in indonesia. i didn't know what the movie is...but it's make me curious about it..., then when i asking to my friends in my gorup...the movie called "Battle of Surabaya"..., then i looking for that summary of the movie at IMDB but hey! this film got 8.5 star rating in IMDB, maybe it's nice film..., but let's take a look the true story that i take from wikipedia about battle of surabaya

The Battle of Surabaya was fought between pro-independence Indonesian soldiers and militia against British and British Indian troops as a part of the Indonesian National Revolution. The peak of the battle was in November 1945. The battle was the heaviest single battle of the revolution and became a national symbol of Indonesian resistance. Considered a heroic effort by Indonesians, the battle helped galvanise Indonesian and international support for Indonesian independence. 10 November is celebrated annually as Heroes' Day (Hari Pahlawan).

By the time the Allied forces arrived at the end of October 1945, the pemuda ("youth") foothold in Surabaya City was described as "a strong unified fortress". Ferocious fighting erupted on 30 October when 600 Indian troops perished alongside the British commander, Brigadier A. W. S. Mallaby. The British retaliated with a punitive sweep that began on 10 November, under the cover of air attacks. Although the European forces largely captured the city in three days, the poorly armed Republicans fought for three weeks, and thousands died as the population fled to the countryside.

Despite the military defeat suffered by the Republicans and a loss of manpower and weaponry that would severely hamper Republican forces for the rest of the revolution, the battle and defence mounted by the Indonesians galvanised the nation in support of independence and helped garner international attention. For the Dutch, it removed any doubt that the Republic was not simply a gang of collaborators without popular support. It also had the effect of convincing Britain that wisdom lay on the side of neutrality in the revolution; within a few years, in fact, Britain would support the Republican cause in the United Nations.

Thats why MSV Pictures in collaboration with one of Yogyakarta university, STMIK AMIKOM make a first animated movie Indonesia. The film takes a fictional character, Musa (Ian Saybani) a child thirteen years old and worked as a shoeshine boy and has a side job as a courier messenger. The first conflict opened when meeting with Capt.Yoshimura (Hidetoshi Tanaka) resulted in the death of the captain by a mysterious organization and Moses became the target of the organization because of the letter that is deposited by Yoshimura him. the storyline take same with indonesian history before revoolution and fit it into animation movie duration. well i can say much about this...cuz i only take some review from IMDB and wikipedia...well let me watch the movie first... see ya...!!
